Product Availability & Response to COVID-19

25th March 2020

Dear Valued Customers,

During this difficult time, we would like to inform you that Fertilizer Australia has confirmed COVID-19 Stage 1 exemptions in all States & Territories for agricultural activities and supply chains including retail operations. This means that fertiliser is regarded as an essential service.

Our current despatch operations are running at normal capacity for peak season demand.  The business has sourced all of its phosphate and potash raw materials for the coming winter season, with a major portion already received, and the remaining shipments on route, due to arrive between now and the third week of April. As such, we do not expect any major impact on our ability to despatch, or the availability of, seeding fertilisers for this season.

Our current urea stocks are adequate to meet the current contract demand for Impact customers with multiple shipments contracted from our long-term suppliers for April, May and later in the year.

We have recently experienced a spike in demand for cropping fertilisers as some growers decide to take delivery earlier than expected. In some cases, this is resulting in stock of some products being unavailable for periods before imported replacement. This is not a supply or capacity issue but rather a timing of demand issue.

Impact has implemented a number of operational measures to mitigate the risk of COVID-19, ensuring the safety of our team, customers and the community. In a response to ensure staff safety, we will adjust to new government direction and are doing all we can in a rapidly changing environment. We have now moved part of our customer service team offsite. This may compromise efficiency and we ask for patience during this time. We would like to direct our dealers to our online ordering portal Bluey where you will be able to create bookings, accept quotes and even create, change or merge a contract.

As always, we’re here to help. If you have any questions, please contact your local area sales manager or our customer service team on 1800 88 44 88.
